sin() cos() tan() GENART with Processing //2005
More /Processing. This time i finally made my own 'Watchmaker'! And you can build nice little mathematical animations with it. It starts out with a random seed of random functions. These functions are mixtures of sinus, cosinus, tangens, log, radians-functions, can be attached to random integer/float variables and combined with typical mathematical operators like + - * / %. The output of these functions give the x and y value for the position of these little crosses.

Anyway, the first generation won't show much exciting movement, so for the next generation you can choose the parents by simply selecting those boxes you like the most. You can also select those presets on the side for combining circles, spirals and other forms.

(Also notice the little button in the corner! It turns the refreshing of the background on and off ... the off-mode looks very nice as well!)

/OPEN ......the applet//////and enjoy building seeds of little moving forms!

HOW TO USE: Just use the mouse to select the parent-forms, and click any key to create the next generation!
